Belize’s tourism sector continues to show steady and measured growth, with both overnight and cruise tourism reflecting a destination that has moved beyond recovery and is now experiencing continued positive growth.

The Government of Belize has officially launched the Strategic Plan for the Sustainable Development of Ambergris Caye, setting out a long-term vision to guide the island’s sustainable growth, resilience, and overall quality of life.

Belize’s economy closed 2024 with strong momentum. Preliminary figures from the Statistical Institute of Belize show total output rising well above 2023 levels, led by a surging services sector and robust fourth-quarter performance.
